We believe time spent reading, writing, doodling, playing cards, reflecting on life, or simply being present together should never come at a cost. That’s why Offline Hours will always be free and open to all.

🔶 Expenses and Donations

Offline Hours is a community-led space, we believe in keeping all expenses and donations transparent. This helps the community take collective responsibility and step in when funds are low.

While we keep our entry free for participants coming to Offline Hours, Local Threads does incur expenses that are recurring for each event (around Rs. 300-400/- per meetup) for things like Instagram ads, Canva Subscription (For making posters, social media content), materials and any emergency unplanned expenses (like venue cost, first aid).

Following tables contain the month wise breakdown of our expenses for all Offline Hours Meetups and the donations coming in to sustain it.

Please note: Expenses and Donations are updated manually in our community’s balance sheet on Google Sheets from which data is published to the website. Kindly allow up to 24 hours for the latest entries to reflect.

Table 1 outlines the monthly expenses incurred by Local Threads to host Offline Hours every Saturday.

Table 2 presents the contributions made by community members to help sustain Offline Hours. Each individual donor will receive a unique Donor ID, enabling everyone to track donations transparently while ensuring donor privacy.

We intend to keep Offline Hours free for everyone. Till now whatever expenses have incurred we have covered them via our curated paid events at Local Threads. If you’ve enjoyed the space we have created and would like to support us, feel free to donate as you can.
